The time is flying by as we’ve already rounded second base on our spring term!
We love so many of our visiting teachers and are always happy when they come back. On Monday, occupational therapist Eli Marcos returned to Pono. She is a gentle and kind ambassador of Dr. Martha Eddy and the partnership Dr. Eddy has with Pono.
We ushered in May and everything burst into bloom at Pono! This week we enjoyed plenty of garden time, planted seeds and even spent an afternoon learning about floral art.
Returning teacher Julia Foote led the children in a light-hearted ballet class Monday morning. Classical music filled the air as the kids practiced their ballet positions, performed grand jetés across the floor and created their own jumps, too!
It’s the second week back at it and things are humming along at Pono. All of the Pono friends had copious amounts of fun inside and outside Pono’s doors.
Tuesday afternoon, Brian visited with his guitar and musical stylings. The kids acted out nursery rhymes like “Humpty Dumpty” and “Three Blind Mice” and filled Pono with songs under Brian’s playful guidance, and everyone was smiling, especially Moa!
