We started the last week of winter term with a splash at New York Sports Club. Swim instructors Rad and Jermaine led the children as they practiced kicking, blowing bubbles, floating, and making “spoons” with their hands for proper arm strokes.
There was much to do by way of preparation for this week’s world premiere of the Pono musical “When Times Get Tough.” But, we still made time for a variety of learning opportunities to keep the creativity flowing!
This week, the Pono guest teachers represented the diverse interests of our children!
Monday, guest teacher Julia visited to teach the children ballet. Julia introduced everyone to a whole new way of looking at their feet, and they got the chance to practice first through fifth positions with coordinating arms.
