Or
8-week online course on a topic we have requested you to teach during Summer Camp A and B.
When
1 session per week. 30 minutes or 1 hour per session.
Summer Camp A: July 6 - July 30 (4 weeks)
Summer Camp B: August 10 - September 4 (4 weeks)
Who
For Pono students and the global public (Ages 6-8). Maximum 10 children per class.
Where
Zoom Video Communications. Once your class is confirmed, we will create a Zoom account for you using Pono’s email domain to remove the 40-minute timer on basic accounts as well as send you all the information you need to get set up and trained.
How
We ask that your lesson consists of 3 components:
Teacher-led: Presenting, explaining, sharing knowledge.
Interactive: Asking and answering questions, facilitating discussions and student-to-student interactions, checking-in.
Hands-on: This depends on the type of class you offer and the age group of the students. For example: folding paper, dancing, drawing, making slime, playing games, cooking along, singing along (although there would be time lag), sculpting, reading together etc.
We can add your materials list to your class description. Assume that not all families will have materials you would readily find at a school, like hole punchers and printers. You will have to be extra resourceful! You can always suggest materials that they can order or buy at a grocery store.
Payment
$30 per session.
We need at least 2 students to run your session.
Your first class will be a part of our children’s trial week. We will let you know:
How many children have signed up for your trial session.
Whether we can run your program in the following week, by the Saturday of the first week of your term.
You will receive a teacher account on this site with your contract, a form to submit your payment information and an updated student list.
