In this class, students will learn how to create portrait illustrations digitally from their photographs! Students will begin by understanding the different types of illustration styles, key terminology used in illustration, color theory, and the tools used to create digital art. We will then be using the following 3 weeks to learn how to simplify and draw photographs, digitize hand-drawn art, and create illustrations using free software.

Vamika Sardana is a Graphic Designer & Design Strategist based in New York. She is a creative problem solver who is always thinking about how design can make an impact. Her main aim in life is to create stories that evoke emotion that is followed by positive action. She loves to create digital concept Illustration, watch horror movies, and eat desserts!
