Broadway Basics, with Lyndsay Corbett
Performers will learn musical theater skills, complete with acting, singing, and dancing. As an ensemble, students will practice choreography, learn lyrics, and rehearse scenes, working together to explore the past and present of musical theater and its various styles and famous numbers!
Lyndsay Dru Corbett is from “Colorful Colorado,” where she began dancing and performing at age six. She grew up doing musical theater and received her BA in theater/film from the University of Denver. She received her MFA in acting from The New School for Drama and has performed and choreographed throughout New York. Currently, she is a teaching artist for Wingspan Arts and Brooklyn College Preparatory Center for the Performing Arts. She also creates and performs as a founding company artist/assistant director with Gotham Dance Theater.
