Fashion Design with Kerry Ryan
Children will become familiar with a variety of textiles and will explore fundamental design principles including pattern, form, and function through a series of projects including basic fabric printing, weaving, and designing/creating their own wearable pieces. Students will be exposed to the work of fashion pioneers to further increase their knowledge of the field of fashion.
Kerry was interested in fashion from a very young age and began creating her own garments and garments for her friends. She was inspired to study fashion by her mother and aunt. After completing a BA in Fashion Design, Kerry moved from Ireland to New York and has been working in the fashion business ever since.
