Broadway Basics with Lyndsay Corbett
Performers will learn musical theatre skills, complete with acting, singing, and dancing. As an ensemble, students will practice choreography, learn lyrics, and rehearse scenes, working together to explore the past and present of musical theatre and its various styles and famous numbers!
Lyndsay Dru Corbett is from Colorful Colorado, where she began dancing & performing at age six. After studying in London, Lyndsay continued her passion for immersive theatre in NYC, working for Punchdrunk Theatre Company’s Sleep No More. She received her MFA in acting from The New School for Drama and has performed/choreographed throughout New York. Currently, she is a teaching artist for Wingspan Arts and Brooklyn College Preparatory Center for the Performing Arts. She also creates and performs as a founding company artist/assistant director with Gotham Dance Theater.
Day/Time: Thursdays, 2:00–3:00pm EST
Dates: 5/28, 6/4 (Two classes)
