An introduction to paleontology for fossil fans! Topics will include analyzing fossils and knowing how to determine which groups fossils belong to. Students will also also explore the importance of “time” or “deep time.” 

Dr. Ferrer is an instructor at Stony Brook University Hospital. She has a bachelor’s degree in geology, with a specialization in paleobiology, and a Ph.D. in integrative biology. She currently teaches anatomy, although her thesis and background focused on paleontology.

Day/Time: Wednesdays, 1:00–2:00pm EST
