Contemporary Ballet, with Francis Walker
In this class, students will learn the fundamentals of balletic movement, with the freedom to connect to other forms and styles. Time will be spent learning technique, moving with feeling, and discussing the importance of dance and its history.
Francis Walker trained at The Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education and The Ailey School, as well as acted as Artistic Director of Bronzeville Academy of Dance in Chicago. She has taught ballet, tap, and jazz, while performing new contemporary works with Ardent Dance Company. Since then she has lived in New York, where she performs the works of Isadora Duncan and teaches dance.
Day/Time: Wednesdays, 3:00-3:50 pm Eastern Time
