Athena to Zeus: A Continuing Journey through Greek Mythology, with Zoë Deshmukh
Athena to Zeus: A Continuing Journey through Greek Mythology, with Zoë Deshmukh
Did the Greek gods make life better, or more complicated, for mortals? Learn more about the Olympian gods and how they affected the lives of everyday people, including Dionysus’s gift of wine to mortals and Hermes’ “messenger service” between gods and Greeks. We’ll also look at the Greek heroes Jason, Perseus, and Psyche, and the incredible tasks they performed. And there will be a surprise or two!
Zoë Deshmukh is a 10-year-old Pono student, who has been fascinated with Greek mythology ever since she first read D’Aulaire’s Book of Greek Myths. She enjoyed teaching “Athena to Zeus” in the spring and is looking forward to sharing more Greek mythology with her Pono friends this summer.
