Not only will Sandra guide your child through her impressive repertoire of healthy meals, but she’ll demonstrate how to make smart food choices, too. From tacos to chocolate whipped cream, all 8 recipes will be fun and easy to follow! Here are the dishes Sandra will feature:

Sandra was born and raised in Ecuador, where she received a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. After she moved to the United States, she became involved in early childhood education and has been working with children for more than 20 years.

SUMMER A, Week 1
CHOCOLATE WHIPPED CREAM
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup of cocoa powder (dutch chocolate, if possible)
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 tsp almond extract, optional

1 chilled bowl (put a bowl in the freezer for 30 minutes before we make the chocolate whipped cream)

TACOS
Ingredients
1/2 lb of ground beef or turkey
1/2 onion
1/2 tsp of chili powder
1/2 tsp of cumin
1/4 tsp of salt
1/4 tsp dried oregano
2 garlic cloves

LEMONADE

1/2 lb of fresh strawberries
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

FUNNY FACES PIZZA
Ingredients
6 English muffins or bagel or pizza dough
1 jar spaghetti sauce/pizza sauce
2-3 cups of grated mozzarella cheese
Choose any vegetables your child likes for decorations
EYES: Black or green olives; pepperoni slices; or halves of cherry tomatoes
NOSE: Sweet red peppers; broccoli; or mushrooms
MOUTH: Onion; tomato slices
TEETH: Green pepper triangles
HAIR: Spinach leaves; string cheese

1/2 cup of chopped pecans
1/4 cup of maple syrup
1 tsp of baking powder

1 egg
2 spoons of coconut oil
2 tsp of vanilla
